03 / Technology

A new use for
low-grade heat.

The opportunity starts with the thermal resource.

Waste heat, industrial thermal energy and other application-specific resources may support integrated electrical and thermal outputs. Suitability depends on the resource, site and operating requirements.

Recovering useful energy from suitable low-grade and waste-heat sources has the potential to improve overall energy utilisation by making use of thermal energy that might otherwise be rejected to the environment. The practical benefit of any installation will depend on the available thermal resource, operating conditions, system configuration and the energy source or service displaced.
